Slope of y = -⅓x + 3 is -⅓ (on comparing with m of y = mx + c)

As the required line is perpendicular to this, slope of the required line = - 1 / (-⅓) = 3

Equation:

=> y - y1 = m(x - x1)

=> y - 0 = (3)(x - (-2))

=> y = 3(x + 2)

=> 3x - y + 6 = 0
