Rene is going to the lake to visit some friends. If the lake is 60 miles away, and Rene is driving at 40 miles per hour the entire time, how long will it take her to get to the lake?

Distance at which the lake is located = 60 miles
Speed at which Rene traveled the entire distance = 40 miles per hour
We already know that
Speed = Distance/Time
Then
Time = Distance/speed
         = 60/40 hours
         = 3/2 hours          
         = (3/2) * 60 minutes
         = (3 * 30) minutes
         = 90 minutes
Rene will take 90 minutes to reach the lake.
