Equivalent equations are when two equations come to the same answer and basically are 'equivalent' to each other.
e.g.
1. x
= 1 and 2
x
= 2 are equivalent since the answer is both 1
2.
2x = 0 and 3x = 0 are equivalent since both answers are 0
